What does math look like in our pre-K classroom? It looks like stringing beads, making patterns, puzzles, building with geometric shapes (that get increasingly more complex), using dominos to write math equations and using the smart board for a variety of math activities. It may be a solo activity or working with a friend or as a group. It may be sorting by shape, color or size. It might be recognizing the pattern on the calendar or adding to the counting caterpillar. As far as the kids are concerned, it's just fun!
